Soundoctor, under various brand names and associations, including the Zenotronix brand, has been making custom cable assemblies for home stereo, professional recording studios, and radio and TV stations for more than 45 years. We were instrumental in getting professional recording studios, first in the Los Angeles area, and then in the rest of the country, to use (and love) Mogami wire and cable, the most cost effective and technically accurate wire available. We have various Mogami cable microphone, guitar, and line level patch cables still in daily use (plugging and unplugging, plugging and unplugging...) in studios for 35 years, and they are still fine.

We use custom made heavy gold plated RCA locking connectors, shown above, with various Mogami wire types. For regular analog audio interconnects we suggest Mogami 2552. This is a 2-conductor balanced configuration which we use for both balanced (3-Pin XLR/A3 connectors) and unbalanced (RCA) connectors. We use 2552 in all our installations and it is superb. For a premium star-quad wire available in our signature purple, choose the 2534. Both are shown below. Because a balanced, twisted-pair cable is used, even in the case of "unbalanced" RCA cables, the superior noise rejection characteristics of the common mode twisted pair is preserved.

We also offer two more types of connectors: The custom Laser-engraved Neutrik, gold-plated, and the outrageous, best-on-the-planet, XHADOW connectors.

You will notice that these prices are WAY lower than what most everyone else charges for longer lengths. Also If you need any odd length do not hesitate to ask. There is NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE for custom cut lengths. On special order we make guitar cables (the quietest you will ever experience) speaker cables, and heavy duty Power Cables.

All cables are literally made to order, by me, not a team of amateurs or robot soldering and crimping machines.
